Overview
A smart Bluetooth Low Energy card and crowd-intelligence platform that helps authorities and service providers manage pilgrim crowds during Hajj and Umrah. Low-energy signals and location data — rather than camera-heavy AI — power movement prediction, congestion forecasting and smart routing. Registered as intellectual property in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (deposit no. 1607864).
Key capabilities
- BLE smart card carried by each pilgrim
- Crowd-flow awareness for Hajj and Umrah operations
- Works with gateways and readers installed across sites
- Crowd intelligence that segments pilgrim flows by group and nationality for field teams
- AI movement prediction that estimates a lost pilgrim's most probable location
- Prioritises nearby users most likely to assist
- Distributed network that extends coverage without heavy dedicated infrastructure
- Intellectual property registered in Saudi Arabia (deposit no. 1607864)
Benefits
- Lower deployment complexity and operating cost than camera-based systems
- Better coordination and situational awareness for field teams
- Pilgrim tracking and assistance at scale
The challenge
Hajj and Umrah bring millions of pilgrims to the same sites within a short period. Organisers need reliable, low-friction ways to understand crowd movement and support pilgrims on the ground.
Our solution
We designed a smart BLE card that each pilgrim carries, read by gateways placed across sites, to give organisers live crowd awareness without requiring pilgrims to use a phone.
